Cleaning & HouseholdLife Style
There is no toilet in the world that cleans itself. Or is there? Today’s bathroom technology is moving closer to the idea of self-cleaning bathrooms, but the truth is that bathrooms need to be cared for if we don’t want them to be dominated by messy toothpaste and water stains.
I don’t want to scrub the tub or toilet on a Sunday afternoon, but I still want a clean bathroom. But you still want it to be clean. A dirty bathroom doesn’t have to take hours. Try these nine ways to make your bathroom fresher, last longer and save money.
Squeeze the shower.
After turning off the shower water, wipe the shower door with a squeegee. Removing this moisture immediately will stop mold growth and keep the glass spot-free.
Remove the grout.
If you are doing a bathroom remodel in the future, consider a grill-free design. Choose a seamless material, such as galvanized iron or sealed plaster, for the shower enclosure. This simple switch will pay off immediately by reducing cleaning time to begin with. The best part? You will never have to deal with grouting again.
Toilet tubs.
Fill the tank with cleaning tablets a few times a week to keep your hands clean and the toilet sparkling clean. Your toilet will stay cleaner longer, and you won’t have to take out the toilet brush as often.
Spritz in the shower.
Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower Cleaner hangs on your shower head and sprays cleaning solution from 360° with the push of a button. If you brush it every time you shower, you might not have to clean it for a month.
Dumping soap
A wall-mounted soap pump or dish not only frees up space in your sink or shower, it also minimizes the sticky mess around bottles and soap solids, giving you one less thing to keep an eye on on cleaning day.
Rinse the tub
After taking a shower, be sure to take 10 seconds to rinse the tub and flush out any residue from the drain. This is to prevent the soap from drying out and hardening into soap scum, which can be difficult to clean later.
Install a robot.
The Braava Jet mopping robot is designed to fit into small spaces and can deep clean 150-200 square feet of floor per day. Yes, $169 is a lot of money, but the fact that you don’t have to keep scrubbing for the rest of your life is priceless.
Keep sinks dry.
Water is a powerful enemy when it comes to keeping your bathroom sparkling clean. Dry the sink after brushing your teeth or washing your hands. This step will help prevent mold and mildew, as mold likes a moist environment.
No solid soap
I use plates and trays that leave traces of solid soap. What should I do? You can prevent the growth of mold by simply switching from solid soap to liquid soap or body wash.
Don’t miss.
Have you ever been tempted to buy a product from a TV commercial? Of course, the speaker swears by it all (and more!) . Swear it does, but does it really live up to the hype? Sometimes, it can.
