Annoying Toe And Foot Marks On Sandals? We’ve Got The Solution! - Cleaning & Household 2024 | PopcornTime

In case you’re a sandal lover like me, you know how annoying it is to have toe and heel marks on them, they decrease their value and they make them look really ugly. These marks also make your sandals look worn and dirty you mostly feel embarrassed to remove them at the pool or at the beach. Also, if you have some precious sandals and you’re looking forward to selling them, these ugly marks will decrease their value drastically.

And don’t worry, these stains aren’t permanent. They’re composed of just ground-in dirt and sweat stains. But the thing is they’re pretty challenging to remove because of the grime that’s pushed down into the cloth fibers of the insoles over the time. Luckily, there’s an easy method to remove these stains no matter how stubborn they are, you only need the right materials and 15 minutes of your time, you can remove most of these marks, if not all of them.

What You’ll Need

  • Spray shoe cleaner (or use spray carpet and upholstery cleaner should work as well)
  • Old soft toothbrush (make sure it’s one you’ll never use again).
  • Old washcloth or dishcloth

Steps to Remove Sandal Insole Toe, Foot and Heel Marks

Start with cleaning testing the product on your shoes, put some cleaner on a small area of your sandal insoles just to make sure that it’s not going to cause bad results.

Spray the insoles of your sandals with the spray cleaner, and make sure you’re dampening them with the spray. But keep in mind that if you get them wet, you’ll ruin them, especially with water.

Making sure that the sandals aren’t getting dry, let the spray cleaner soak into the shoes for two minutes.

With cold water, wet your old toothbrush and scrub the dirty insoles using it, make sure you’re scrubbing hard. But take a few breaks from scrubbing and rinse the toothbrush to make sure that you’re not rubbing dirt all over the shoes.

When your sandals start looking clean, rub the newly scrubbed areas with your cloth.

Again, rinse the toothbrush with cold water and scrub the shoes again, then rub them with the washcloth again.

Repeat the process until you stop rubbing dirt onto your cleaning cloth, then you’re good to go.

Take a picture before and after the process, and when you’re done, you’ll be amazed at how different your sandals look! They’ll look new and nice again.
