Want to make this recipe even better? Check out these Tips:

O! Tips:

* To ensure that the cake layers come out even and flat, wrap the cake pans with dampened strips of towel or cake strips before baking. This will keep the edges from cooking too fast and help the cake to bake more evenly.
* If you don’t have buttermilk on hand, you can make your own by mixing 1 cup of milk with 1 tablespoon of vinegar or lemon juice. Let it sit for a few minutes until it thickens and curdles, and then use it in the recipe as directed.
* When folding in the beaten egg whites, be careful not to overmix the batter. You want to keep as much of the air in the egg whites as possible to help the cake rise and become fluffy.
* When making the frosting, be sure to stir it constantly as it cooks to prevent it from burning or sticking to the pan. You can also transfer it to a heatproof bowl set over a pan of simmering water to keep it warm and prevent it from solidifying.
* For a fun twist, try adding some chopped dark chocolate to the frosting for a richer, more complex flavor.
* There you have it, a delicious Classic German Chocolate Cake that is perfect for those special occasions or when you want to treat yourself to something truly decadent. The rich chocolate cake paired with the chewy and sweet coconut-pecan frosting is a match made in dessert heaven. Give it a try and let us know how it turns out!

Mouthwatering Tiramisu Poke Cake

Welcome O!’Chef, to where the recipes are hot and the tips are fresh! If you’re a fan of classic tiramisu, you’ll love this easy-to-make Tiramisu Poke Cake. With every bite, you’ll get a moist and flavorful cake that’s infused with creamy coffee flavors. This poke cake recipe takes the hassle out of making traditional tiramisu by using a boxed cake mix and a simple pudding topping. Follow these simple steps and make this delicious dessert that is perfect for any occasion.

Indulge in the classic taste of Tiramisu with this easy-to-make cake. A poke cake is a unique way to infuse flavor and moisture into the cake by poking holes in it, allowing the filling to seep into the crumb. This method transforms the traditional Tiramisu recipe into a simple everyday dessert without the need for Ladyfingers.

Using a box of yellow cake mix makes the baking process especially simple. Just follow the instructions on the box, bake it in a 9×13-inch pan, and once it has cooled a bit, use the end of a wooden spoon to poke holes all over the cake.

The filling is made using instant vanilla pudding mixed with espresso powder and Kahlua to give the cake its signature coffee flavor. If you want to skip the alcohol, you can increase the amount of milk you use instead. Spread this coffee/pudding mixture over the cake, and you can even push it down into the holes for better penetration.

The final step is to spread homemade whipped cream over the top and dust the cake generously with cocoa powder. This cake is incredibly easy to make, yet it retains all of the delicious creamy coffee flavor that makes Tiramisu so popular.

Now, let’s begin O! Recipes Show and dive into the ingredients that make this recipe so special:

yellow cake

  3. Meanwhile, make the pudding mixture: In a large bowl, whisk the instant espresso into the milk. Add pudding packets and Kahlua (if using) and mix until thick. Set aside. If not using Kahlua, increase milk to 3 cups.
  4. In a separate large bowl, beat the cream with the sugar, vanilla, and salt until stiff peaks form. Set aside.

Welcome O!’Chefs, to where the recipes are hot and the tips are fresh! Today, we are bringing you a classic Red Velvet Cake recipe that is perfect for any special occasion. This cake has a rich, velvety texture with a subtle chocolate flavor that is perfectly complemented by the cream cheese frosting. Let’s get started!

Red velvet cake is a classic dessert that has been around for over a century. It’s believed to have originated in the southern United States and was a popular dessert during the Great Depression. The cake’s signature red color comes from the reaction between the cocoa powder and vinegar in the batter. The result is a cake with a beautiful red hue, a tender crumb, and a slightly tangy flavor.

Now, let’s begin the O! Recipes Show and dive into the ingredients that make this recipe so special:

Servings: 12-14 slices

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
  • 1 cup buttermilk, room temperature
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring

  2. In a medium mixing bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder.
  3. In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the oil, buttermilk, eggs, vanilla extract, red food coloring, and white vinegar until well combined.

  6. Bake for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cakes comes out clean.
  7. Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then remove them from the pans and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

  9. Once the cakes are completely cooled, spread a generous layer of cream cheese frosting on top of one cake layer, then place the other cake layer on top. Spread a thin layer of frosting over the top and sides of the cake to create a crumb coat. Chill the cake in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes.
  10. Once the crumb coat has set, spread a final layer of frosting over the top and sides of the cake, and use a spatula to create a smooth finish. Chill the cake in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons minced, fresh ginger

  • 2 teaspoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons rice vinegar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 5 tablespoons Mae Ploy or other sweet Thai chili sauce

How to Make Thai Sweet Chili Beef and Broccoli:

  1. Cook the rice according to package directions and set aside.

  3. Heat half of the butter in a cast iron or stainless skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the steak to the skillet and cook for 3-5 minutes on each side, until desired doneness is reached (adding remaining butter for second side). Cook until meat reaches an internal temperature of 145˚F.
  5. Remove the steak to a cutting board, cover with foil, and allow it to cool for 10 minutes before slicing.

O! Tips:

For a healthier version, swap the NY sirloin steak for leaner cuts such as flank or skirt steak.

To make the dish vegetarian, substitute the steak for firm tofu.
Add some chopped peanuts for an extra crunch and texture.
Make sure not to overcook the steak to keep it tender and juicy. Also make sure to let it rest for 10 minutes after cooking to ensure it’s tender and juicy.

To save time, you can use pre-made ginger paste instead of fresh ginger.
For a milder heat level, skip the Sriracha or hot sauce altogether.
You can extend this recipe to feed more people by using extra broccoli.
For a vegetarian version of this recipe, substitute the steak with your preferred protein substitute
For a milder version, leave out the Sriracha sauce or use less of it.
If you can’t find Mae Ploy sweet Thai chili sauce, you can use another brand, but the flavor may be slightly different.
Make sure to remove the stems from the broccoli before cooking.
To make the dish gluten-free, use a gluten-free soy sauce.

Sweet and Gooey Caramelitas

Welcome O’Chefs, where the recipes are hot and the tips are fresh! Indulge in the sweet flavor combination of chocolate and caramel with our irresistible Caramelitas recipe. From Twix candy bars to ice cream to cakes and cookies, this classic pairing is hard to resist. These bars strike the perfect balance of cookie to chocolate and caramel filling, and will leave you wondering how you ever lived without them in your recipe collection.

At first glance, the Caramelitas recipe may seem a little more involved than your typical cookie recipe, but don’t worry, they still come together in less than an hour. The crust is made by combining dry ingredients and melted butter, which is then pressed into an 8×8 baking dish to form a base. As the crust bakes, the caramel filling is made by heating caramels and heavy cream in a saucepan until completely smooth. Once the crust is baked, chocolate chips are sprinkled on top, followed by the melted caramel mixture, and finally topped with the remaining oat mixture. These bars are absolutely sinful, and the final results are worth the wait.
