I know I’m not the only one who is constantly having to get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. This doesn’t only disturb my sleep, but it also wakes up the other family members. Some recent research found the best solution to this annoying issue, and it’s all about some slight changes in what you eat.
The Telegraph stated that some Japanese researchers have found a strong connection between your sodium intake and your nighttime bathroom trips, they said that it’s a condition called “nocturia“. The researchers have done this examination with 223 participants who were asked to cut down their sodium intake bt 25%. This made their nighttime bathroom visits fall from 2.3 trips to 1.4 after some time.
As Dr. Matsuo Tomohiro, the lead author of the study said; “This is the first study to measure how salt intake affects the frequency of going to the bathroom,” he also explained; “Nighttime urination is a real problem for many people, especially as they get older. This work holds out the possibility that a simply dietary modification might significantly improve the quality of life for many people,”.
